Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a process of life-long learning, recognising that surgeons are not only clinical specialists, but also work closely in multidisciplinary teams settings as managers and communicators. By contrast, Continuing Medical Education (CME) generally focuses only on that specific domain of professional development. All surgical professionals engage with either CPD or CME programmes in a variety of settings and are increasingly adopting time-saving, technological solutions.
As a platform we strive to be recognised as a platform that can both improve patient outcomes and better learning in surgical training. Fundamental surgery continues to work towards global accreditation in all medical bodies around the world, to reaffirm the value of our platform. This is a key driver in showcasing the educational quality of our simulations.
With our current work with leading educational, training and surgical organisations, we have already obtained accreditations and will continue to seek and work with other medical bodies to further justify our value in medical training.
